Date: Tuesday, 21st Jun 2022 | Category: Uncategorised

Following the success of the Previous Surrey Safeguarding Childrens Partnership (SSCP) Briefing event in March, you are cordially invited to attend the next event on Thursday June 30th. You can click to register here

Organised jointly by SSCP and Surrey Children’s Services Academy, this will again be an opportunity for Partnership Members and Surrey staff to come together to hear about the latest developments in Safeguarding across Surrey.

There is a choice of two sessions on 30th June at 09.30-11.00 or 12.30 – 14.00 hrs, both with identical content as below:

We will be presenting the key learning from:

  • The National Review into the Murders of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes and Star Hobson
  • The Child Q Report
  • The Implications of the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care

Each of these are significant National Reviews and will have major implications for the future of child safeguarding and child protection.  This briefing will be an opportunity for an introduction to the key themes, learning and recommendations emerging out of these reviews.

Attendees will receive an overview of each review as well as an understanding of the implications for their practice and what the proposed changes may mean for Surrey

In 90 minutes you will:

  • Develop your career by keeping abreast of the latest information (attendance will count towards CPD)
  • Promote Surrey as a ‘learning organisation’
  • Make sure your practice is informed by the most up to date findings
  • Strengthen partnership working in discussion and reflection with our partners

Places are limited, to book yours click here to register and receive a Teams invite direct to your inbox

Please feel free to cascade this to other members of the partnership who may be interested.
