‘Everyone’s Invited’ Website
The ‘Everyone’s Invited’ testimonial website highlights the issue of harmful sexual behaviour and harassment in schools and other settings. We must listen and respond to what the published accounts, and issues raised by the website are telling us, with the majority of the reports coming from girls and young women. It is vitally important that all children are able to thrive in environments that are free from harassment and abuse.
The SSCP would encourage anyone who has been affected by these issues to tell someone they trust. They can also contact the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre, who will be able to provide support.
- The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre website is https://www.rasasc.org/. There is also a helpline which operates on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 7.30PM to 9.30PM. The helpline number is 01483 546 400
- They can also access support from Surrey Police via the following link: https://www.surrey.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/rsa/rape-and-sexual-assault/
- There is also a new dedicated NSPCC helpline to support those who may be affected. The NSPCC helpline is 0800 136 663.
The SSCP would also like to assure members of the public and wider community across Surrey that where we hear concerns about Surrey schools, we will follow these issues up and seek assurance that appropriate action is taken.
